Edward and Esther settled on land in Brandywine Hundred, New Castle Co., near Old Marsh Land, now Vandever Ave. of the Ninth Ward of Wilmington, Delaware. The tract ran east taking in Big Shellpot Creek and ran north to the Philadelphia Turnpike, taking in the old home, a stone house, and farm on the north side of Shellpot Creek. The property is better known by the old name of Old Herring Rocks.

Edward married Esther HALL [129] [MRIN: 454] in 1704 in Newark Meeting, PA.¹ (Esther HALL [129] was born circ 1680 in Newark Meeting, PA ¹ and died before 1733.)
